Monday 21st May – walks **** Prom walk, Felixstowe & Hemley circuit - sunny and warm:)

Another lovely day in Felixstowe, relaxing morning with exercises in the garden followed by a walk along Felixstowe prom with a brilliant blue sky. In the afternoon we visit an old friend in town for a chat and scones before returning home to quickly pack the van for a night away at another one of our local favourites Hemley Church. It’s only 8 miles to our parking spot and we arrived at 5. We had a nice phone call from our son Robert with Hannah and Arlo:) Then after a yummy curry we did the Hemley circuit. You walk down to the River Deben through the farm along the sea wall and back along a lovely hedgerow path which had only just been cut and smelt lovely! Then Mag spotted four large Red deer in a field and we spent several minutes watching each other:) We also saw hare, buzzards, pheasants, partridges and long tailed tits. As the sun set behind us we had a cuppa and cheesecake before an early night as tomorrow we are going to walk to the Maybush Pub to spend the voucher given to us by Rob and Hannah for our birthdays last autumn. We spent half last time leaving us the other half to enjoy tomorrow – we have made the most of it :)
